NAVIGATORS

The Systems Navigators respond to the ever-increasing need for specialized support and advocacy in community due to ongoing homelessness, food insecurity, GBV, poverty, and Winnipeg's toxic drug crisis. NEWC's Systems Navigators work out of our drop in, responding to participant needs and working with them to create strategies for support and advocacy.

The Eviction Prevention Navigator involves working with participants who are currently housed but at risk of eviction. The focus is to respond to needs and create strategies to prevention eviction and maintain housing. The more generalized support our other Navigator offers includes safety planning, assistance with protection orders, navigating systems ie. justice, EIA , CFS, and help accessing substance use supports, among other things.
